Honey Jerk Chicken feat. Twylla’s Spices & SAVAGE BEE-CHES Blackberry Honey

Our friends over at Twylla’s Spices and Essentials whipped up this bold and flavorful Honey Jerk Chicken using their signature Jerk Seasoning and our luscious Blackberry Honey from SAVAGE BEE-CHES. It’s spicy, sweet, and completely irresistible. Serve it over rice and prepare to impress.


Ingredients

For the Chicken:

For the Sauce:

  • 1 green bell pepper

  • 1 red bell pepper

  • 1 orange or yellow bell pepper

  • 1 onion

  • 4–5 garlic cloves

  • 1/4 cup Green Sauce

  • Jerk Seasoning 🔥 by Twylla's Spices & Essentials

  • 2/3 cup Blackberry Honey by SAVAGE BEE-CHES

  • 1 cup apple juice


Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken:
    In a bowl, combine chicken thighs with 3 TB of Green Sauce, a generous sprinkle of Jerk Seasoning, and a drizzle of avocado oil. Toss to coat well and set aside while prepping veggies.

  2. Prep the Veggies:
    Slice the bell peppers and onion. Mince garlic and set aside.

  3. Sear the Chicken:
    Heat a skillet over high heat with avocado oil. Sear the chicken skin-side down until browned and crispy. Flip and sear the other side for 2 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  4. Build the Sauce:
    Add more oil to the skillet if needed. Sauté the peppers and onions for about 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

  5. Simmer It All Together:
    Stir in Green Sauce, Jerk Seasoning, Blackberry Honey, and apple juice. Return chicken to the skillet, skin-side up. Spoon sauce over the top.

  6. Finish Cooking:
    Bring to a medium simmer, uncovered, for 25–30 minutes. Baste chicken with sauce periodically.

  7. Serve & Enjoy:
    Spoon over rice or your favorite grain. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.


💡 Optional Shrimp Version:
Swap chicken for shrimp! Season and sauté shrimp for 3 minutes, set aside. Simmer the sauce for 5–7 minutes, then add shrimp and simmer for 5 more minutes.
